The story so far…

Natural Farma Ltd was set up in 2017 by Sam Bowler and was the first company in the UK to introduce in feed Humic Acids for commercial livestock and pets. Sam has a background in poultry and over many years believed that animal health should be based on a preventative basis going against the standard model of animal care which is based on treating symptoms with medication when quite often it is far too late. After all a naturally healthy animal is a productive one so everyone can benefit in the supply chain from the farmer right through to the end consumer.

After seeing many farms over the years, it became clear that the most successful farms were the ones that did try to work on preventative basis of both high management standards but also encouraged enhanced gut health leading to improved immunity. Sam was also getting very concerned with how easily antibiotics were to obtain which can obviously lead to antibiotic residues entering the human food chain which ultimately results in the emergence of lethal superbugs. In the UK approximately 30% of all antibiotic use is in farm animals and mass medication accounts for about 75% of antibiotic consumption so although there have been improvements there is a still a long way to go.

Sam first came across Humic Acids while studying human nutrition for the purpose of supporting viral immunity and from there had the idea to introduce them commercially into UK livestock after seeing the numerous benefits. Resulting from many months of research he has decided to introduce the well-studied WH67® complementary feed which is a blend of Humic Acids to the UK market. WH67® has been widely proven to benefit animal health and aims to greatly assist with the many challenges facing livestock keepers.
