Natural Farma Ltd was founded in 2017 by Sam Bowler and was the first company in the UK to introduce in-feed Humic Acids for commercial livestock and pets. With a background in poultry, Sam has always believed that animal health should be built on proactive care—not simply waiting for problems to arise and treating symptoms, often when it's already too late. After all, a naturally healthy animal is a productive one, which benefits the entire supply chain, from farmers to the end consumer.

Over the years, through countless farm visits, Sam noticed that the most consistently successful farms were those that focused on strong daily management practices and prioritised gut health to support natural immunity. He also grew increasingly concerned about the ease of access to antibiotics in agriculture, and the potential consequences of overuse, including the development of resistant bacteria and the risk of residues entering the food chain. While the UK has made meaningful progress in reducing antibiotic use in livestock, there is still more work to be done to ensure responsible use.

Sam first discovered Humic Acids while studying human nutrition for immune support and quickly saw their potential in livestock health. Following months of research, he introduced the well-documented Humigut complementary feed to the UK market—a blend of Humic Acids shown to enhance gut health, support immunity, and help tackle some of the key challenges facing modern livestock production.
